Just like in trying a new restaurant, people would ask friends for recommendations, read good review, or check out the menu before vying for that restaurant, but if your experience is less than from what you are expecting, your first visit will definitely be your last.
Same with finding the right gym. Finding the perfect gym that will fit your personality, motivate you to come back (on a regular basis), that will commit to your goal, and will treat you as a friend or family and not just a client are the key criteria to consider before you fork over a long-term contract.
Growing from a sports enthusiast family, Coach Edwin Binoya became motivated and challenged to be strong and healthy. He has tried all kinds of sports (football, track & field, basketball, and even fencing) to mold him of who he has become today, the very hands on certified trainer, and licensed braingystics.
A braingystics is a licensed provider of the leading scientific, evidence-based and innovative mind-body-brain systems.
Coach Binoya and his sister Dr. Arlene B. Strugar, the innovator of braingystics at the Oregon Health, brought this alternative medicine here in the Philippines to influence people to pay attention on staying healthy and strong.
Coming home was a big decision for Coach Binoya. From a stable job abroad to a start-up fitness and wellness center challenged not just Coach Binoya but his whole family. Luckily, he has a very supportive wife, who have helped him achieved his dream and made all his sacrifices worthwhile.
Powerstation Fitness Center, is not the typical slash commercialized fitness gym that offers work out training, crossfit, zumba class, Krav Maga, etc., but a mind and body wellness center that focuses on the fulfillment of each student’s goal on their ideal body which they apply the holistic health.
What is holistic health?
Is a form of healing that considers the whole person — body, mind, spirit, and emotions — in the quest for optimal health and wellness. According to the holistic medicine philosophy, one can achieve optimal health — the primary goal of holistic medicine practice — by gaining proper balance in life.
Holistic medicine practitioners believe that the whole person is made up of interdependent parts and if one part is not working properly, all the other parts will be affected. In this way, if people have imbalances (physical, emotional, or spiritual) in their lives, it can negatively affect their overall health.
Your mind and body are powerful allies. How you think can affect how you feel. And how you feel can affect your thinking. For example constant worry and stress over jobs, finances, or other problems can cause tense muscles, pain, headaches, and stomach problems. It may also lead to high blood pressure or other serious problems.
On the other hand, constant pain or a health problem like heart disease can affect your emotions. You might become depressed, anxious, and stressed, which could affect how well you treat, manage, or cope with your illness.
But your mind can have a positive effect on your health, too. Having a positive outlook on life might help you better handle pain or stress and stay healthier than someone who is less hopeful.
