4 DIY Home Scrubs for Dark Underarms

Here are the ten do-it-yourself underarm scrubs to help whiten dark armpits:


# 1 Brown Sugar with lemon Scrub

Any dark spots in your skin can be healed by lemon. Because of its natural bleaching content, it can help to whiten your underarms. Brown sugar, on the other hand, can help to exfoliate dead skin cells.


1 tbsp lemon juice

1 tbsp brown sugar

How to do it:

Place brown sugar on a grinder until powdered in texture. Mix it with lemon juice. Leave on the chiller for five minutes. Clean your underarms. Apply the mixture and scrub for 10 minutes. Leave the mixture for another 10 minutes. Rinse well with warm water and pat dry. Apply at least two times a week.

# 2 Coconut Oil and Brown Sugar

If you find lemon expensive, you can try a cheaper alternative. Coconut oil is a natural moisturizer while, brown sugar provides mild exfoliation.


1 tbsp coconut oil

1 tbsp brown sugar

How to do it:

Grind the brown sugar until powdered in texture. Mix it with coconut oil. Scrub it on a clean underarm for 15 minutes each side. Use mild rotating motion to avoid irritation. Rinse with mild soap to remove the smell of coconut oil and pat dry. Do it three times a week.

# 3 Oatmeal and baking soda

Baking soda will not only make a whiter underarm; it can also remove odor. On the other hand, oatmeal is a great moisturizer and contain natural bleaching component too.


½ cup oatmeal

1 tbsp baking soda

½ cup fresh milk (or water)

How to do it:

Mix the 3 ingredients until well blended. Using warm water to dissolve the oatmeal is also great. Apply the scrub on a clean underarm. Scrub for 10 minutes. Rinse well. Apply the mixture once a week.

# 4 Rice and Milk

Rice and milk are great scrubs that help to bleach and remove dead skin cells.


3 tbsp rice

½ cup warm milk

How to do it:

Grind rice grains until powdered. Mix with warm milk. Let the mixture cool a little. Apply on a clean and dry underarm. Scrub each underarm for 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water, pat dry. You can do these three times a week.
